    Study of the Reactor Control System of MSHIM in AP1000

    According to the mechanism analysis and simulation of power control system of MSHIM in AP1000, a modified MSHIM (Mechanical Shim) control strategy is presented, which employs the error between the reactor coolant average temperature and its reference value as the unique control signal with a P-controller added. The modified MSHIM control strategy is verified by simulations of three typical working conditions. The results show that the modified power control system satisfies the needs of reactor core power control and power distribution control. The conclusions have reference value for the engineering practice

    Cheating-Resilient Incentive Scheme for Mobile Crowdsensing Systems

    Mobile Crowdsensing is a promising paradigm for ubiquitous sensing, which explores the tremendous data collected by mobile smart devices with prominent spatial-temporal coverage. As a fundamental property of Mobile Crowdsensing Systems, temporally recruited mobile users can provide agile, fine-grained, and economical sensing labors, however their self-interest cannot guarantee the quality of the sensing data, even when there is a fair return. Therefore, a mechanism is required for the system server to recruit well-behaving users for credible sensing, and to stimulate and reward more contributive users based on sensing truth discovery to further increase credible reporting. In this paper, we develop a novel Cheating-Resilient Incentive (CRI) scheme for Mobile Crowdsensing Systems, which achieves credibility-driven user recruitment and payback maximization for honest users with quality data. Via theoretical analysis, we demonstrate the correctness of our design. The performance of our scheme is evaluated based on extensive realworld trace-driven simulations. Our evaluation results show that our scheme is proven to be effective in terms of both guaranteeing sensing accuracy and resisting potential cheating behaviors, as demonstrated in practical scenarios, as well as those that are intentionally harsher

    Free radical-scavenging activity and flavonoid contents of Polygonum orientale leaf, stem, and seed extracts

    The present study was designed to explore the total flavonoid and taxifolin contents and the radical-scavenging activity of 50% ethanol extracts of Polygonum orientale leaves, stems, and seeds by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay. The extract with higher total flavonoid content has higher radical scavenging activity. Taxifolin (IC50 = 2.83 μmol/L) has antioxidant activity stronger than that of rutin (IC50 = 3.08 μmol/L). The free radical-scavenging potentials of chloroform, ethyl acetate, water, ethanol, and methanol extracts of Polygonum orientale seeds were also investigated. The free radical-scavenging abilities of various extracts were determined as: methanol > ethanol > water > ethyl acetate > chloroform
